I’m Ksenia K.

I am a Christian Life Recovery and Transformation Coach and author of Rocky Road to Recovery: Breaking the generational curses of family dysfunction and self-destructive behaviors through faith and action.

This blog was created to inspire mothers and fathers alike to break their dysfunctional cycles once and for all by having strong faith in God and taking appropriate and timely action to continually grow into healthier and more wholesome versions of themselves.

I’m a mom to the cutest little bug, Noah (he is almost 3), who reminds me every day to be grateful to God and my own self for getting “unstuck”! Having grown up in a dysfunctional alcoholic family, I myself fell into a self-destructive cycle in my twenties and was able to fully recover later on, even though I am still in the process of healing my Inner Child from traumatic childhood and adolescence as a result of growing up in my dysfunctional family.

I invite you to hear my story (check out My Story page) and have an open conversation about how we get stuck, why we get stuck, and what we can do to get out of our “stuckness”…

I’m a mom on a mission (MOM)! My main goal is not to pass my family’s negative traits and bad habits that were passed on to me on to my own children, and their children respectively. I recently have given birth to my second baby (it’s a girl, yay!), and imagining Noah and Lydia (my grandmother’s name that we picked for our new little one) going through the same crazy stuff I went through with my own mom, and later myself, made me finally put that glass down once and for all.

I love Noah and Lydia way too much to be the reason for their heartbreak. Parents are everything that kids need until they learn how to navigate in this world and acquire necessary skills to deal with everything that life throws their way in a healthy manner. God willing, they won’t repeat that generational cycle of dysfunction and don’t turn to their peers or addictions to make them “feel better”.

I am encouraging my readers to look closely at themselves and their families and find out if there are any destructive patterns within their families that might need some healing and reprogramming. Too many children suffer from their parents’ unprocessed inner hurt and emotional immaturity.

Our children are worth it! And so are YOU!
